Commissioning Engineer Laser

What will you do?

As a Commissioning Engineer Laser, you are responsible for commissioning our laser machines at customer sites all over the world. You will work with modern fiber laser cutting machines and automated laser systems that play a crucial role in the customer's production process. Depending on the project, you will work independently or together with one or two colleagues on location.

During projects, you analyze the customer's production process and translate this into an optimal setting of the laser machine. You are involved from the project kick-off through to the handover to the customer. In addition to technology, communication plays an important role: you guide operators and ensure they can use the machine safely and efficiently.

You will travel internationally to customers in, among others, Europe, America, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom. The work takes place according to a fixed rhythm of approximately three weeks on location and one week at home, where flexibility and independence are important.

• Commissioning and testing of fiber laser cutting machines and automated laser systems;
• Analyzing and optimizing customer-specific production processes;
• Resolving technical issues during commissioning on location;
• Training and guiding operators and technical staff of the customer;
• Collaborating with colleagues from service, software, and project management.

What we ask

• A technical education at mbo or hbo level, preferably in the direction of mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering;
• Experience with commissioning, service, or commissioning of machines, preferably laser machines or CNC-controlled systems;
• Affinity with software, automation, and industrial production lines;
• Good command of the English language, Dutch is a plus;
• Willingness to travel internationally and work flexibly.
