Who are we?
Volvo Group Trucks Technology & Industrial Division is the Volvo Group's production organization for trucks, engines and gearboxes with an international and industrial environment of world class. At Volvo TTI in Köping, transmissions – gearboxes and marine drives – are manufactured for several of the Volvo Group's products. The facility in Köping is competitive on the world market and large investments have been made and continue to be made to increase production capacity and handle new products. Today, approximately 1600 employees work at the facility in Köping, and with upcoming investments in the factory and industrialization of new products, we now need to expand our workforce within Maintenance.
The factory in Köping has been designated as a "Center of Excellence" within the Volvo Group, which means that we work both locally and globally.
What do we offer? As a maintenance engineer, your main focus will be on the curing plant in production, with responsibility for developing and driving maintenance work that creates stable operation, high availability and a safe working environment. You will work closely with production and become a natural coordination point between maintenance, operation and other support functions. In the role, you will lead the maintenance team within your area of responsibility, participate in daily check-ins and switch between operational presence out in the facility and more long-term, planned work. You will also participate in improvement initiatives and projects, both in teams and independently. Your tasks include, among others:
Establish and further develop maintenance strategy and plan for equipment and processes within the curing plant according to established methodology Plan, follow up and administer planned as well as preventive maintenance to minimize disruptions and unplanned stops Be the contact person for external suppliers regarding technical advice, service interventions, planned maintenance and spare parts procurement Ensure complete and structured spare parts readiness linked to the equipment's needs and criticality Represent maintenance in working groups and projects related to reconfigurations, improvements, rationalizations and new acquisitions Project management constitutes a significant part of the role, where you are responsible for leading investments, improvement projects and technical improvement measures from start to finish.
Who are you? We are looking for you who is a Högskoleingenjör with a focus on mechanical or maintenance and have relevant professional experience. Alternatively, other relevant education and experience in mechanical, electrical, or machine maintenance. You have good knowledge of English both orally and in writing, as well as basic computer skills. It is meritorious if you have knowledge and experience in operator/specialist maintenance.
