Master of Science or adequate technical education with interest in combustion engines, emissions and legislations and exhaust after treatment. As a person you are structured and analytical, highly organized with planning, communicating and networking skills. As well as individual work the role also requires skills in team leading. You enjoy team work, contribute with team spirit and like to take on the leading position. Since we are a global and diverse company, many of your meetings and mails will be in English, hence you need to be fluent in both speaking and writing in English. Combustion Performance Calibration develops the optimized functionality in the control systems for engines and powertrains for several products of the Volvo Group. This covers the whole chain from hardware related parameters, electric hardware parameters, sensor parameters, engine controls parameters function, exhaust after treatment parameters, diagnostic parameters and functional testing in these areas.

The successful candidate will work in our Performance Calibration Vehicle team. The group is responsible for the engine calibration management within engine projects as well as calibration of vehicle related functions in the engine management system. We also make sure that hardware limitation targets regarding vehicle related functions are fulfilled for engines in vehicles. The team consists of 12 passionate people with a good atmosphere and customer focus and we are now looking for a person to expand the team of calibration leaders.

Main Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, follow-up and deliver complete engine calibrations within an engine project. You will define and manage the performance and calibration development plan which includes engine, vehicle, diagnosis and after treatment optimizations. You will lead a team of dedicated calibration engineers. As a Calibration leader you will also be responsible for communicating performance and calibrations maturity within projects.
