Product Analyst - Lighting

Responsibilities and assignments
Develop the most varied components of the lighting system, such as tail lights, headlights, courtesy lights, etc., in order to meet the requirements of Sales and Marketing, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Technical Assistance, promoting improvements in the process, assembly compositions, systemic release of components, ensuring pre-defined deadlines and costs, with a focus on delivering value to our customers. Main activities and responsibilities:
- Develop lighting system components according to the technical content of the program(s), development of LAH’s, supporting the control of the parts list and meeting the respective timings;
- Develop and certify lighting system components regarding:
- Homologation of cabin parts/systems according to National and International Standards;
- Control and monitoring of bench tests and durability tests;
- Support in the definition of tests and means for certification of parts/systems;
- Development and drafting of Technical Standards;
- Interpretation and control of analyses during the Pre-Development phase (FMEA etc.);
- Analysis and definition of actions for Legislation items, according to the affected country(ies);
- Analysis and definition of actions to ensure the Feasibility of the project(s);
- Assembly concept – analysis and definition of assembly composition - PDM;
- Support FMEA activities and the respective documentation;
- Develop or monitor 3D models for DMU, VPP, VPB validation;
- Develop Layout studies and surface construction/closure;
- Support release activities (P Release, B Release, etc.);
- Control, define actions, and documents pertinent to technical meetings: Project Team, Techday, Launching Meeting, Fachgruppen Meeting, EVC Meeting, Pilot Plant, AUDIT, Cost Reduction, etc.;
- Analyze (failure mode) and define actions (interim & definitive) pertinent to Field, Normal Production, AUDIT, and Manufacturing items, as well as prepare all necessary documentation to support changes/releases throughout the entire Engineering process;
- Administer technical documents pertinent to Engineering processes for the officialization and implementation of programs/changes in parts/systems (AMP’s, PM’s, Deviations, Technical Analyses, FMEA’s, DU’s, PDM’s);
- Have access to and knowledge of Product Release systems (AVON, MBT, TISynchro, KVS, ...);
- Support the tests necessary for homologation/certification of parts/systems according to the content of the program(s) and change(s) according to the needs of Continuous items;
- Define, together with the Engineers, the TTP and the respective JOURNAL for the programs;
- Monitor test activities with Full Vehicle Engineering and external suppliers;
- Support the team responsible for drafting Test instructions;
- Consider the product life cycle analysis in the development stages of a new product;
- Knowledge of environmental aspects and impacts and environmental legal requirements applicable to your function;
- Cost / Complexity Reduction, of projects and series;
- Monitoring of development activities with suppliers (conceptualization, technical studies, tooling, tests...);
- Planning of activities in your area of operation respecting the "milestones" of each project;
- Application of innovations and new technologies in current products and projects.
Requirements and qualifications
Education: Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic, Production Engineering, or related areas.
Other specializations:
- Desirable to have knowledge in science and strength of materials, fatigue, vibrations, bolted, welded, and riveted joints, finite element analysis, functioning of vehicle systems, manufacturing processes (casting, forging, machining, and stamping) and vehicle component design;
- Knowledge in axle systems, such as gears, drive-line, steering geometry, and vehicle composition (4x2, 6x2, 6x4, etc.);
- Knowledge in Catia V5, DMU Navigator or similar 3D software;
Language: Advanced/Fluent English.
