Product Analyst - Chassis (Brakes)

Responsibilities and assignments
Product Analyst in the Chassis area to work in the development and monitoring of truck and bus braking systems, covering disc and drum brakes, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components, as well as electronic vehicle control systems such as ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBS (Electronic Braking System), and functionalities associated with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) packages. The professional will work together with the engineers responsible for the system, supporting development, validation, technical documentation, supplier monitoring, and component analysis activities, including activities related to the application and validation of software for braking systems and active vehicle safety. Main activities and responsibilities:
- Support the development and monitoring of components related to braking systems (front and rear brakes; disc and drum; hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical; ABS/EBS system speed sensors), intended for trucks and buses.
- Collaborate in the validation of components through static and dynamic tests performed internally and with suppliers.
- Support application, validation, and software release activities for ABS and EBS systems and functionalities related to ADAS packages.
- Participate in the analysis of functional requirements and behaviors of electronic braking and active safety systems.
- Perform diagnosis and investigation of failures in vehicle communication networks, data analysis from field tests, laboratory, and prototype vehicles.
- Support validation activities of communication parameters between vehicle electronic modules.
- Support functional tests and validations of electronic brake control, stability, and driver assistance systems.
- Support failure analysis and technical investigations.
- Participate in technical forums related to product development.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and records for monitoring activities.
- Conduct technical alignments with national and international suppliers.
- Analyze drawings, technical specifications, standards, requirements, and test plans.
- Identify technical risks and support the definition of corrective actions.
- Monitor schedules, pending items, action plans, and project milestones.
- Prepare technical documentation for the release and change of components.
- Support cost reduction and continuous product improvement initiatives.
- Organize and maintain technical history of documents, reports, versions, and validation evidence.
Requirements and qualifications
Education: Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic, Production Engineering, or related fields.
Other specializations:
- Previous knowledge in disc and drum brake systems;
- Knowledge of Contran 10966 and ECE R13;
- Knowledge of ABS, EBS, ESC, ADAS systems, and vehicle electronic architectures.
- Knowledge of CAN networks and embedded communication protocols.
- Familiarity with SAE J1939 and UDS standards.
- Ability to interpret CAN messages, diagnostics, and analyze the behavior of electronic modules.
- Knowledge in functional validation of automotive electronic systems.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronic architecture and use of tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, and CANape.
Language: Advanced/Fluent English.
