Application Analyst - Alternative Fuels

Responsibilities and duties
- Lead the development and application of CNG and biomethane systems for trucks and buses, from product conception to validation, homologation, launch, and field operation;
- Define technical requirements for the integration of cylinders, valves, regulators, piping, refueling systems, sensors, electronic systems, engines, and control strategies;
- Coordinate development, tropicalization, adaptation, and application projects of CNG/biomethane technology for different operational profiles, customers, markets, and legislations;
- Ensure compliance with national and international regulations, safety requirements for pressurized systems, homologation, certification, and emissions;
- Lead validation, homologation, certification, launch, and monitoring activities for CNG/biomethane products, including field tests, technical demonstrations, and customer validations;
- Develop strategies to expand the use of CNG and biomethane in the commercial vehicle market, supporting portfolio, technological roadmap, new business, and decarbonization strategy;
- Act as a technical specialist for Engineering, Commercial, Marketing, After-Sales, Quality, Customers, suppliers, bodybuilders, fleet owners, and operators;
- Technically represent the company in technical forums, industry associations, regulatory committees, and working groups related to alternative fuels, natural gas, biomethane, emissions, and decarbonization;
- Conduct risk analyses, DFMEA, functional safety, reliability, durability, and safety assessments related to high-pressure CNG systems;
- Support technical and strategic decisions related to the alternative fuels portfolio, regulatory trends, emerging technologies, and business models.
Requirements and qualifications
Education: Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic, Production Engineering, or related fields.
Other specializations:
- Desirable in Automotive Engineering, Powertrain, Renewable Energies, Sustainability, Project Management, Product Management, Business Strategy, or related fields;
- Experience in automotive product development, Powertrain applications, CNG/GNV systems or alternative fuels, homologation, validation, regulation, suppliers, customers, field, warranty, and market strategy.
Language: Advanced/Fluent English.
