Senior AWS Developer

We are looking for a Senior AWS Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable and secure cloud-native applications on AWS. As a senior member of the team, you will play a critical role in cloud solution architecture, mentoring other developers to add cloud knowledge and expertise to the team, and driving cloud development best practices. You will work with an experienced global development team to create and support digital solutions for the shop floor environment, based on AWS. Additionally, you will also act in on-premises contexts, creating cloud-native solutions deployed in a Kubernetes environment.

Responsibilities and assignments

• Act as a mentor to support developers in integrating with the global cloud platform (based on AWS) and starting to develop solutions on it.
• Develop, deploy, and support on-premises digital solutions (Kubernetes environment).
• Coordinate activities in the AWS environment with global teams (best practices, requirements, demands, etc.).
• Be an AWS ambassador and support the development of local team skills on the AWS platform.
• Evaluate and select appropriate AWS services for the architecture of the solutions.
• Design, develop, and operate cloud-based applications (AWS).
• Use Test-Driven Development (TDD), Clean Code, and perform Code Reviews.
• Build and maintain toolchains for development, deployment, and operations (DevOps approach).
• Work with global project teams aiming at the modernization of legacy systems and the delivery of future-ready solutions based on AWS.
• Design and develop high-performance, scalable, and resilient applications using AWS services.
• Lead discussions on cloud architecture and drive decisions on service design, cost optimization, and automation.
• Integrate AWS services such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Step Functions into the solutions.
• Implement application monitoring, log recording, and alerts using CloudWatch, X-Ray, and third-party tools.
• Ensure security, compliance, and identity management in cloud applications, using IAM, KMS, Cognito, and Secrets Manager.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Stay up to date with AWS innovations and recommend improvements to the architecture and the team's toolset.
• Analyze and evaluate requirements, as well as participate in feasibility studies and technical decisions.

Requirements and qualifications

• Python, Java, Node.js, Go (backend)
• Angular, React, Vue.js (frontend)
• More than 5 years of professional experience in software development.
• More than 3 years of practical experience in AWS cloud development.
• Experience with modern software architectures (microservices, distributed systems, cloud-native applications).
• Extensive experience with AWS cloud services (compute, storage, networking, security).
• Very good knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with AWS CDK (without use of Terraform).
• Security in the use of CI/CD, automation, rollouts, and operation of distributed systems.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, ECS/EKS).
• Solid understanding of unit and integration testing in a cloud environment.
