What to expect:
- You are the responsible Lead Engineer for several Vodafone Home Devices.
- You lead the technical part of introduction and product development projects for Vodafone home devices.
- You work closely with stakeholders from Delivery, Testing, Product Management, and other specialist departments and contribute your technical expertise to central decisions.
- You analyze, evaluate, and validate product and technical requirements from Group Networks and local markets and derive the requirements for future Home Devices from them.
- You are responsible for the definition, specification, and further development of the technical architecture as well as the requirements of our Home Devices.
- You harmonize technical requirements across different markets and access technologies to ensure an efficient, scalable, and consistent product strategy.
- You evaluate technical errors and quality issues regarding their Customer Impact and Network Impact, derive priorities, and are responsible for their scheduling in product and software releases.
- You advise Group and local marketing teams on the introduction of new Home Gateways and associated services.
- You conduct technical evaluations of vendor solutions and analyze provider responses as part of tenders for new Home Devices.
- You ensure that technical solutions comply with Vodafone's quality, security, and architecture specifications.
What distinguishes you:
- A completed (university) degree in engineering.
- Several years of professional experience in the development, introduction, and further development of Home Devices, broadband solutions, or network-based services.
- Many years of experience in the telecommunications industry as well as a sound understanding of fixed-line, WLAN, and home network technologies.
- Demonstrable experience in the technical management of complex, international multi-vendor projects.
- Experience in defining technical requirements, system architectures, and technical roadmaps.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills for capturing, structuring, and solving complex technical contexts.
- Ability to critically question existing solution approaches, evaluate technical risks, and develop innovative solution paths.
- High level of abstraction, judgment, and decision-making ability with a focus on customer value, technical feasibility, and business impact.
- Strong stakeholder management skills as well as the ability to bring different interests together in a goal-oriented manner and achieve sustainable decisions.
- Structured, independent, and result-oriented way of working as well as high resilience even in dynamic project environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical matters in an audience-appropriate manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- High teamwork skills as well as experience in working with international and intercultural teams.
- Strong willingness to learn and the ability to quickly and independently familiarize yourself with new technologies, products, and business requirements.
- Fluent English skills in speaking and writing (at least C1 according to CEFR).
This position can be performed full-time or near full-time part-time (at least 30 hours).
