Production Planner
As a production planner at VMC, you are responsible for the technical feasibility of our custom projects and ensure that our offering meets the wishes and expectations of our customers.
What will you do?
As a production planner, you analyze the customer's technical drawings, advise on production methodologies, prepare the cost price calculation, inquire with suppliers regarding procurement parts, and bring everything together in a suitable quotation. But your involvement does not stop there!
- You analyze drawings from our customers, look for cost-efficient solutions, and advise on laser cutting, bending, and (robot) welding as production methodologies;
- Creating cost price calculations, commercially preparing and elaborating quotations for sheet metal products based on technical drawings;
- Contacting existing suppliers and searching for new parties where necessary;
- Working closely with engineering, production, and planning.
What do you bring?
In this position, you are the point of contact for our customers and the internal departments. Together with the internal departments, you determine which production methodologies, processing sequences, and times will be used to successfully deliver the order. For this, you have knowledge of or interest in metalworking techniques.
You are social, accessible, entrepreneurial, good at planning and organizing, proficient with ERP systems, and can switch gears quickly. Additionally, you possess:
- MBO+/HBO working and thinking level;
- Knowledge of the English language;
- Affinity with AutoCad and/or Inventor.
