Context:
For one of our clients in the fire detection sector, Viveris is looking for an embedded software development engineer to join the R&D team under the responsibility of a project manager.
Responsibilities:
- Work on both development and maintenance;
- Develop embedded applications (C/C++);
- Participate in the specification, design, development, and validation phases;
- Analyze and correct non-conformities arising from the field;
- Diagnose anomalies and identify root causes;
- Propose and implement robust and sustainable solutions;
- Ensure the traceability and quality of fixes;
- Provide clear, structured, and regular reporting to management;
- Synthesize technical topics for non-specialist interlocutors;
- Share knowledge and contribute to the continuous improvement of practices.
Technical Environment:
- Systems: Linux, embedded Linux, FreeRTOS, BareMetal, Windows;
- Languages: C, C++, Python, Bash;
- Hardware: ARM , STM32, LPC18xx, dspic;
- Protocols & Networks: TCP/UDP/IP, CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, RS232/RS485, Modbus;
- Tools: Git/GitLab, svn, Jenkins, CMake, Makefile, Qt/Qt Creator, STM32CubeIDE, Wireshark, ST-Link, JTAG, oscilloscope, tcpdump, gdb.
Profile sought:
- Real-time software engineer specialized in industrial computing and embedded systems with confirmed experience (5 years and more) in embedded application development;
- Graduate with a Master's degree in embedded systems or equivalent Bac+5;
- Very good mastery of the C language, respect for coding standards and the constraints of embedded development (real-time, multitasking, microcontrollers);
- Good analytical and diagnostic capacity (debug, root cause);
- Experience in software maintenance / anomaly correction;
- Ability to prioritize and manage several subjects in parallel;
- Excellent rigor and organization;
- Synthesis skills and writing quality;
- Good interpersonal skills and team spirit;
- Technical English.
