Tailor

Responsibilities:

Garment Construction: Design, cut, and sew clothing and fabric items based on client measurements and style preferences. Alterations and Repairs: Adjust and modify garments for a perfect fit, including hemming, resizing, and patching. Pattern Making: Create or modify patterns to fit individual body measurements and fashion trends. Fabric Selection and Handling: Advise customers on fabric choices, durability, and suitability for specific designs. Sewing and Stitching: Operate sewing machines, hand-sew when necessary, and ensure neat stitching and finishing. Fitting Sessions: Conduct fittings with customers and make necessary adjustments for comfort and style. Quality Control: Inspect finished products for defects and ensure garments meet the required standards. Customer Service: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide recommendations. Record Keeping: Maintain records of customer measurements, preferences, and completed orders. Maintenance of Tools & Equipment: Ensure sewing machines, needles, and other tailoring tools are in good working condition.

Requirements:

Proficiency in sewing, cutting, and garment construction. Knowledge of different fabrics, patterns, and tailoring techniques. Attention to detail and strong craftsmanship skills. Ability to use sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques. Good communication and customer service skills. Creativity and problem-solving abilities for custom tailoring. Time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently.
