Qualified Social Worker, Assessment and Duty Team, Barnsley Council

Pay rate £37 per hour Contract role

Vitalis are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to work in an Assessment and Duty Team in Barnsley Council. We're looking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and committed professional social worker to join one of our four Assessment Teams. Co-located with the police at Wombwell Police Station, the Assessment Teams complete short term CIN plans with children and families. This is a short-term service with a focus on timely quality assessments which consider need and risk. Any short term CIN planning required will remain allocated, to ensure that families receive consistency of worker. We are looking for someone with passion and drive to improve the outcomes and lived experience of children within Barnsley. You will be able to work at pace to ensure decision making is timely. You will know what good looks like and will be confident in working within a performance management framework which supports good outcomes for children.
