Test Developer Co-op (January to August 2027)

As a Test Developer Co-op at Visier, you will work with the Test Enablement Team and will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of Visier’s applications.

Our co-op experience is unique and designed to prepare you for professional success as you work on real, impactful work from the beginning...not features that may be mothballed after 8 months of hard work! Our ultimate goal is to give you the mentorship, training, and work experience you need to start your career. A number of our students return to us after they graduate and start developing their professional career at Visier! We use a variety of frontend technologies including Angular, NgRx, Play Framework, TypeScript, Less, and others. We deal with large volumes of data every day. And in our backend areas we work with technologies like Scala, Kafka, Consul, Cassandra DB, Docker, AWS, etc. So, you’ll be developing knowledge and skills that are transferable anywhere.

What you’ll do…

Collaborate with developers to understand features, identify risks, and design test plans

Design and develop UI and API automated tests, including data validation

Investigate test failures, identify and debug defects, and verify fixes

Participate in regular build validation before release

Contribute to Jenkins CI pipelines and automate common development tasks

Use modern development tools, including AI, to improve testing and productivity

Work in a fast-paced development environment, collaborating with developers and SREs to improve product quality and reliability

What you’ll bring to the table…

Programming experience and an interest in software testing and automation

Familiarity with test automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or REST Assured

Some knowledge of SQL, relational databases, web technologies, and APIs

Attention to detail and a curious mindset for finding issues and identifying opportunities for improvement

Fixed hybrid work model: 3 days a week in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

The base pay range for this position in Canada is $3,600 - $4,500 per month.

Benefits and working arrangements may vary depending on your seniority, location and employment type. The compensation offered will be determined by factors such as relevant qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. Many of our positions are eligible for additional types of compensation (e.g., commission plans, bonus, etc.) which our Talent Acquisition team will share with you if you interview for the role.
