Your tasks
Project scope Accelerating critical infrastructure initiatives for a global logging platform powering analytics, business metrics, and accurate debugging across AWS, Azure, and GCP in 70+ regions. The architecture process covers structured logs (LumberJack), log delivery (Woodchuck), logging agents, and unstructured logs (Sawmill).
Key delivery areas include automating and standardizing region-to-region migrations, provisioning end-to-end multi-cloud environments via Infrastructure-as-Code and AI acceleration, and enhancing the scalability and reliability of high-throughput log delivery systems
- Automating and standardizing zero-downtime, multi-region production migrations across multiple cloud providers
- Handling extreme throughput, low-latency processing, and high reliability for massive-scale log ingestion and streaming pipelines
- Leveraging agentic AI coding tools and IaC automation to streamline environment provisioning and minimize operational overhead
Requirements
Tech stack C++, Java, Scala, Rust, Go, Python, AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, Spark, Delta Lake, eBPF, perf, strace
- Proven track record matching Staff-level expertise in large-scale distributed environments (e.g., Google, Databricks, Apple, Meta).
- Deep proficiency in at least one backend language (C++, Java, Scala, Rust, Go, Python) with polyglot codebase adaptability
- Hands-on experience with streaming and data processing frameworks (Spark, Delta Lake, or equivalent log pipelines)
- Demonstrated expertise in live production migrations, rollback planning, and automated parity testing
- Proficiency in leveraging AI coding tools to optimize daily execution and project delivery
- Strong self-direction, strategic alignment, and high-level technical communication skills
- Professional English proficiency (C1+ level) ensuring seamless technical communication
