Key Responsibilities Vehicle Operation: Drive lorries safely over short or long distances while obeying all traffic laws and road regulations. Loading and Unloading: Supervise or physically handle the loading, securing, and unloading of cargo. Route Planning: Choose the fastest, safest, and most fuel-efficient routes while monitoring traffic updates and road closures. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, check fluid levels, and report mechanical issues promptly. Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery logs, collect signatures, manage invoices, and record mileage. Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, warehouse staff, and dispatch teams. Requirements and Qualifications Valid License: Hold the Class 3 or 4 driving license for the vehicle class required Clean Record: Possess a clean driving record with minimal or zero traffic violations. Physical Fitness: Ability to sit for long hours, maintain high concentration, and lift heavy items or cargo when required. Communication Skills: Good verbal communication for coordinating with dispatchers and clients.
