Power Platform Analyst

(Dataverse & Reporting) – Contract – Remote / Cardiff

VIQU have partnered with an NHS organisation seeking a Power Platform Analyst to support the delivery of reporting solutions across a digital platform built on Microsoft Dataverse and Model-Driven Apps.

The successful Power Platform Analyst will focus primarily on native Model-Driven App and Dataverse reporting, including operational, validation and workflow-supporting reporting within the application itself. Alongside this, you will utilise Power BI and Microsoft Fabric where reporting requirements justify a more advanced analytical approach, helping to deliver a scalable and governed reporting capability across the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise reporting solutions within Model-Driven Apps and Dataverse environments
• Build and maintain native operational reporting using Dataverse views, lists, filters and security-aware reporting approaches
• Develop reporting solutions using FetchXML and other Dataverse reporting capabilities
• Support validation, operational and workflow-driven reporting requirements within business applications
• Assess reporting requirements and determine whether they are best delivered natively within the application or through Power BI
• Develop and optimise Power BI reports, dashboards and semantic models where analytical reporting is required
• Support reporting governance, security, performance optimisation and embedded reporting approaches across the platform

Key Skills & Experience Required

• Strong hands-on experience as a Power Platform Analyst with Model-Driven Apps and Dataverse reporting expertise
• Experience developing native operational reporting using Dataverse views, filters and reporting components
• Experience working with FetchXML and Dataverse data structures
• Proven understanding of operational reporting requirements within application environments
• Ability to differentiate between reporting requirements that should remain within Model-Driven Apps and those better suited to Power BI
• Strong Power BI experience, including data modelling, DAX and report optimisation
• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI Embedded, Dataverse and wider Power Platform technologies

Contract Overview

• Role: Power Platform Analyst (Dataverse & Reporting)
• Duration: Running till March 2027
• IR35: Inside IR35
• Rate: £325 per day
• Location: Remote / Cardiff
