Rail Crane Operator

In this position, you will work with a specialized rail crane deployed for challenging infrastructure works. You will receive thorough training and learn both how to operate the machine and how to perform technical maintenance.

What will you do?

• You operate the rail crane during lifting and assembly works on railway sites.
• You assist in the preparation of the works and ensure that the crane is deployed correctly and safely, and you perform daily checks and inspections.
• You work closely with your colleagues, site managers, signalmen, and other involved parties, and depending on the site, you take on various tasks within the crew.
• You check the machine and report technical problems or deviations, and you perform preventive and curative maintenance.
• When the crane is not deployed on the site, you assist with maintenance and technical activities.

Where will you work? You will join a technically strong company specialized in railway infrastructure and specialized machine works. Drawing from extensive experience in the sector, challenging projects are carried out on sites throughout Belgium and, depending on the project, also abroad. There is strong investment in modern and specialized equipment, including the high-tech rail crane that you will be working with.

• You are technically minded, enjoy working with machines, and think in solutions when faced with a technical problem.
• Night and weekend work is not a problem for you when the site requires it.
• You are willing to work at different locations in Belgium and abroad, and you speak and understand English well, so that you can follow technical documentation and manuals.
