Railway Operator

You will work with a specialized railway crane that is deployed on various sites in Belgium and sometimes abroad. Together with a small team, you ensure that the crane can perform its work safely and well-maintained. You will receive thorough training and get to know the machine step by step. Experience is a plus, but above all, a practical mindset, clear agreements, and the desire to deliver quality work are important.

What will you do?

• You operate the railway crane during lifting and assembly work on railway sites and you help prepare the work and check if everything is in order before starting
• You perform daily checks and inspections of the crane
• You work together with your colleagues, site managers, and other people on the site
• You take on various tasks within the crew, depending on what is needed on the site
• You notice technical problems and report them, and you assist with maintenance, repairs, and technical activities

Where will you work? You will join a technically strong company specialized in railway infrastructure and specialized machine work. Based on extensive experience in the sector, challenging projects are carried out on sites throughout Belgium and, depending on the project, also abroad. Investments are made in modern and specialized equipment, including the railway crane that you will be working with. You will be part of a small, specialized crew in which colleagues work closely together and each take on their responsibility. Safety, quality, and craftsmanship are central, with the necessary training and guidance to get to know the work well.

• You are technically minded and enjoy working with machines, and you have a practical mindset and like to roll up your sleeves
• You can work independently, but also enjoy working with colleagues and you think along when something does not go as planned
• You are willing to do night and weekend work when the site requires it and you speak and understand enough English to be able to follow technical manuals and instructions
