Do you want to contribute to ensuring that people in a demanding life situation receive the follow-up and support they need? We are seeking an engaged and caring social consultant for a temporary position who wants to make a difference for residents at our reception center in Vikhammer.
As a social consultant, you will play a central role in the follow-up of families, children, and young people, as well as contributing to ensuring that residents receive necessary support and guidance in their daily lives. You will collaborate closely with both internal and external actors to ensure a holistic offering to the residents.
We conduct interviews and hire continuously.
Duration of the temporary position: December 14, 2026 – August 16, 2027.
Working hours: Monday - Friday from 08:00-15:30 with the possibility of flexible working hours.
Arbeidsoppgaver Overall responsibility for work with families with children and youth.
Responsibility for the follow-up of residents with special needs and vulnerable persons.
Responsibility for unaccompanied minors arriving with an escort.
Have overall responsibility for cooperation and contact with the child welfare service.
Responsibility for children of kindergarten and primary school age, i.e., being the reception center's contact person towards kindergartens and the municipal school office and the currently relevant schools in the municipality.

Kvalifikasjoner Requirement of a minimum 3-year relevant bachelor's degree from a university or college within child-related, social, pedagogical, or clinical health sciences.
Experience from social work is an advantage.
Good Norwegian (min B1 level) and English skills, both oral and written. Other language skills are an advantage.
Experience from multicultural work is an advantage.
Valid Norwegian driver's license.
