Presales Engineer / Manager for Electronic Security

Job Summary You will design and architect integrated physical security solutions, lead presales technical engagements, manage vendor relationships, and support project handovers to ensure successful deployment and client satisfaction. Responsibilities Design integrated physical security solutions including IP Video Surveillance (CCTV), Access Control Systems (ACS), Intrusion Detection, and Intercom systems to meet client needs. Develop network architectures that enable smooth IoT/edge device deployment, optimize bandwidth, and ensure reliable communication protocols. Ensure all physical security designs comply with corporate IT cybersecurity standards, including firewall configurations, encryption, and endpoint security. Lead technical discussions, architectural whiteboarding, and product demonstrations to engage prospective clients effectively. Conduct site surveys to assess physical deployment conditions and gather detailed client requirements for solution customization. Prepare comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOM), technical proposals, compliance matrices, and cost estimations to support tender submissions. Execute Proof of Concepts (POCs) and pilot projects to validate solution feasibility and performance in real-world scenarios. Evaluate, recommend, and manage relationships with third-party hardware and software vendors to ensure quality and compatibility. Conduct detailed technical handovers to post-sales implementation and project delivery teams to facilitate smooth rollout. Provide tier-3 technical escalation support during complex installations to resolve critical issues promptly. Required competencies and certifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in technical pre-sales, systems engineering, or solution architecture within physical security (ELV) or IT networks. Proficiency with electronic security platforms such as Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon, Lenel, Hikvision, Dahua, Gallagher, or similar. Strong IT infrastructure and networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, and VPNs. Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, server virtualization, and database management. Exceptional client-facing communication, presentation, and proposal-writing skills. Preferred competencies and qualifications Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, or vendor-specific security/networking certifications are highly advantageous.
