At VIER, we are developing the next generation of Conversational AI and generative AI that radically rethinks customer service. Specifically in the RTMP team, we work on state-of-the-art voice technologies and their connection with our products. This ranges from hardware DSPs to the high-level Voicebot-Platform that processes hundreds of thousands of conversations per month. You will work on our Cognitive Voice Gateway product, which brings our telephony systems together with Conversational AIs from various external providers as well as our own products. To achieve this, we work closely with our technology and sales partners to best support the requirements of our customers' conversations. The team uses modern technologies and constantly updates them.

• You continuously design, develop, and optimize our software solutions.
• You analyze functional and technical requirements and implement them into sustainable system solutions.
• You develop and implement backend applications, modules, and interfaces.
• You are responsible for the maintenance and optimization of existing software components, analyze errors, fix malfunctions, and ensure sustainable solutions.
• You create and maintain technical documentation.
• You perform code reviews and ensure the quality of our software.
• You participate in architectural decisions and technical concepts.
• You plan and perform unit, integration, and system tests.
• You work closely with internal departments as well as external partners in exciting projects, contributing your ideas for the continuous improvement of our development processes.

WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU...

• You have successfully completed training as a Fachinformatiker (m/f/d) for Anwendungsentwicklung, a degree in the field of Informatik, or a comparable qualification. Alternatively, you have at least three years of professional experience in software development.
• Scrum and Kanban are part of your daily work routine.
• You have experience with unit tests and know why they are important for high software quality.
• You place great value on clean, maintainable, and high-quality code.
• You master at least one JVM-based programming language.
• You bring experience in dealing with container technologies.
• You are proficient in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have

• German language skills at level B1 or comparable.
• Initial experience with VoIP technologies.
• Knowledge in the field of distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Initial programming experience with Kotlin.
