PLM Architect
About the company
Being part of the development of new nuclear power in Sweden is a unique opportunity – and a central part of the future sustainable energy supply. Videberg Kraft is a project company with the mission to develop, construct, and operate Sweden’s future nuclear power.
Joining us means being part of building a company from the ground up, with processes, systems and ways of working shaped in parallel with the project itself. Here, progress depends on people who can move forward with confidence, even when not every answer is known, take full responsibility, and look beyond their own role to help the wider project succeed.
Your tasks
We are now looking for a PLM Architect who will play a key role in establishing the digital foundation for Sweden's future nuclear power program.
As a PLM Architect, you will be part of the Engineering department and a member of Videberg Kraft’s virtual Digital & IT function. You will establish and develop our Produc/Plant Lifecycle Management (PLM) capability as part of our ambition to be a digital-native organization. You will work at the intersection of Engineering, Information Management, and Digital & IT, ensuring that information is created once, reused many times, and remains connected and traceable across the entire value chain.
Initially, you will support the setup and implementation of the collaboration environment between Videberg Kraft and Rolls-Royce SMR. As the organization grows, you will lead the development of our PLM landscape, digital thread, and information architecture.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role. You will shape long-term architecture and governance while actively supporting engineering teams, establishing new capabilities, and driving the transformation toward model-based and data-driven ways of working.
PLM Strategy, Architecture & Digital Thread
- Define and develop Videberg Kraft's PLM vision, roadmap, and architecture.
- Establish a connected digital thread across the plant lifecycle.
- Ensure information is traceable, connected, and governed from requirements through design, construction, operations, and maintenance.
Engineering Digitalization & Platform Development
- Lead the evolution of PLM and associated engineering platforms.
- Define integrations across PLM, CAD, ERP, Asset Management, Document Management, and related systems.
- Support Engineering in adopting modern digital, model-based, and data-driven ways of working.
- Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI, and digital technologies to improve efficiency and quality.
Governance, Compliance & Transformation
- Ensure compliance with requirements for traceability, configuration management, security, quality, and regulatory governance.
- Drive the transition from document-centric to model-based engineering and information management.
- Support collaboration and information exchange across Videberg Kraft, Rolls-Royce SMR, and the wider supply chain ecosystem.
Requirements
Required
- 5+ years of experience in PLM.
- Deep understanding of PLM architecture, information modelling, and lifecycle information management.
- Proven experience designing and implementing PLM solutions in complex industrial environments.
- Experience integrating PLM platforms with adjacent systems such as CAD, ERP, Asset Management, and Document Management solutions.
- Experience working in regulated industries with high requirements for traceability and governance.
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Preferred
- Experience in Systems Engineering and/or Configuration Management.
- A background in nuclear, energy, aerospace, defence, automotive, process industry, or similar complex engineering environments.
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE, Aras, or PTC Windchill.
- Experience with Digital Thread initiatives and digital transformation programs.
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 and information management standards.
- Experience supporting large capital projects and engineering-intensive organizations.
- Someone who can balance strategic thinking with practical execution.
- Technically credible and comfortable engaging with both engineers and digital specialists.
- Comfortable moving between detailed technical discussions and enterprise-level architecture.
- A strong communicator who can bridge the gap between Engineering and IT.
- Change-oriented and curious about emerging technologies and digital innovation.
- Pragmatic, collaborative, and focused on delivering value rather than complexity.
What we offer
- The opportunity to build Videberg Kraft’s PLM capability and digital thread from the ground up.
- A cross-functional role where you will define how PLM connects Engineering and Information Management.
- The chance to create capabilities designed to last for decades, supporting both the delivery of the new nuclear power program and the future operation of the plant.
- Significant ownership and influence in a growing organization contributing to one of Sweden’s most important industrial projects.
