Assistant Project Manager – Interior Fit-Out

VIC Interior Pte Ltd is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination and delivery of interior fit-out, renovation and A&A projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager, consultants, clients, subcontractors and site teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating and executing interior fit-out, renovation and A&A projects.
• Coordinate architectural, M&E and specialist subcontractor works.
• Review drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules, work programmes and site progress.
• Attend site meetings, coordination meetings and inspections with clients and consultants.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site workers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor workmanship, quality, safety and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Assist with material submissions, shop drawings, RFIs, progress reports and project documentation.
• Coordinate procurement and ensure materials are delivered according to the project programme.
• Assist in quantity take-off, quotation preparation, variation orders and subcontractor cost evaluation.
• Identify site issues and coordinate timely solutions with the Project Manager and relevant parties.
• Monitor project costs and minimise unnecessary variation, delay and wastage.
• Assist with testing & commissioning, inspections, defects rectification and project handover.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety, client requirements and site regulations.
• Able to manage smaller projects independently when assigned.
• Perform other project management and coordination duties as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural, Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant project/site experience in Singapore construction, renovation or interior fit-out.
• Experience in healthcare, hospital or institutional projects will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of architectural and M&E coordination.
• Able to read architectural, M&E and construction drawings.
• Familiar with project scheduling, site coordination and construction documentation.
• Basic QS knowledge including quantity take-off, costing and variation works is advantageous.
• Good communication and coordination skills when dealing with clients, consultants, subcontractors and workers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD and project scheduling software is advantageous.
• Able to work independently, solve site problems and manage multiple priorities.
• Responsible, organised and willing to work in an active site environment.
