Plant Operations Offshore, a subdivision of Technical Operations Offshore, supports the global service business with sound technical expertise and acts as a link between Engineering and the local business units. Our team provides high-quality support to service technicians, performs technical fault analysis for SCADA and Power-Plant-Controller systems, and ensures the safe and stable operation of offshore wind farms. Furthermore, we support the commissioning of new wind farm SCADA systems and ensure a smooth and secure integration into existing operating environments. As cybersecurity becomes increasingly important for the safe operation of wind turbines, we offer specialized cybersecurity support to ensure a modern level of security for all SCADA servers and the connected infrastructure. As a member of Plant Operations Offshore, you will be part of an experienced specialist team that drives the Vestas strategy, supports service units worldwide, and places a high focus on customer orientation, operational excellence, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Providing cybersecurity support and expertise for offshore SCADA, network, and industrial control systems
• Acting as an internal cybersecurity consultant for topics related to OT networks and security
• Supporting technicians and local service organizations with secure remote access, firewall rules, user management, and network hardening, as well as undertaking on-call duties on weekends as part of a rotation plan
• Participating in the hotline structure to provide real-time remote support for service technicians on-site
• Collaborating with Engineering, IT-Security, and 3rd-level support on security improvements
• Communicating with internal and external stakeholders via telephone, email, or ticketing systems, as well as ensuring knowledge transfer
• Supporting the commissioning of new projects throughout the entire project lifecycle and ensuring secure and effective system integration from initial installation to handover to operational operation

Qualifications

• Sound experience with Cisco® components, at least at CCNA level
• Experience with industrial routers and switches from other manufacturers
• Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and regulations such as IEC 62443, NIS-2, and KRITIS-V
• Knowledge in the field of virtualization, experience with debugging techniques, as well as with industrial electrical systems
• Basic knowledge of industrial protocols (MODBUS, IEC 104, OPC) is an advantage
• Knowledge of Windows Server and Linux is desirable
• Very good written and spoken English skills

Your place of work is one of our offices in Poland, Sweden, or Germany. Partial remote work may be considered, however. Travel of up to approximately 20% is expected.
