DevOps Principal
Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership across DevOps, Infrastructure, Platform, and Development teams, driving engineering excellence and consistent technical practices.
Define and evolve DevOps and cloud engineering standards, patterns, and best practices across projects and teams.
Design and guide scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-efficient cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Evaluate complex technical requirements and architectural changes, assessing their impact on infrastructure, engineering effort, scalability, security, cost, technical debt, and delivery.
Drive technical initiatives, platform improvements, and modernization efforts from concept through implementation.
Identify common technical challenges across projects and develop reusable solutions, automation, frameworks, and platform capabilities.
Lead technical discovery, design reviews, architecture discussions, and resolution of complex infrastructure and DevOps problems.
Evaluate technologies and architectural approaches, document trade-offs, and provide recommendations aligned with long-term technical and business goals.
Define and maintain standards for Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, observability, security, and operational practices.
Drive adoption of automation, DevOps, GitOps, platform engineering, and other practices that improve engineering productivity and delivery reliability.
Establish and evolve infrastructure and platform roadmaps in collaboration with engineering and product leadership.
Identify opportunities for infrastructure modernization, standardization, automation, performance improvement, and cloud cost optimization.
Provide technical guidance on cloud networking, IAM, security, secrets management, monitoring, logging, observability, and resilience.
Define and improve high-availability, disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, and resilience practices.
Conduct technical and infrastructure reviews and ensure solutions comply with established engineering standards and security requirements.
Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure, cloud, deployment, performance, and reliability issues.
Mentor Senior DevOps Engineers and other technical specialists, helping teams improve their technical capabilities and engineering practices.
Collaborate with engineering leadership, architects, security, and product teams to align technical strategy with business and delivery objectives.
Ensure compliance with corporate security, governance, and regulatory requirements.

What we expect from you: Extensive practical experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Architecture, with a proven track record of technical leadership across teams or projects.
Strong hands-on experience with at least two of clouds: AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and the ability to make informed technical decisions across multiple cloud platforms.
Proven experience designing and operating production-grade cloud and hybrid-cloud environments at scale.
Deep understanding of cloud architecture, distributed systems, microservices, networking, databases, containers, IAM, security, observability, and managed services.
Strong experience establishing and evolving DevOps engineering standards, practices, and reusable solutions across multiple teams or projects.
Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code and extensive Terraform experience, including reusable modules, standards, and governance.
Strong Kubernetes and container experience, ideally including EKS, AKS, or GKE.
Strong understanding of cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, security, IAM, secrets management, encryption, and DevSecOps.
Extensive experience designing and improving CI/CD architectures using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild/CodeDeploy, or similar tools.
Experience with capacity planning, resource forecasting, cloud cost optimization, performance, and reliability engineering.
Experience designing high-availability, disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, and resilience strategies.
Strong Linux/UNIX and Windows knowledge, including practical troubleshooting experience.
Strong scripting/programming skills in Bash, Python, PowerShell, Go, or similar languages.
Strong Git knowledge and understanding of modern software development and delivery practices.
Ability to evaluate technologies and technical approaches, identify long-term implications, and make pragmatic recommendations.
Strong problem-solving skills with experience resolving complex cross-team technical issues.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven mentoring and coaching skills, with the ability to raise the technical capabilities of engineering teams.
Ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities, delivery constraints, operational requirements, and cost.
Advanced proficiency in spoken English is mandatory.
Will be a plus: Experience defining or leading DevOps/platform strategy across multiple projects or an organization.
Experience establishing internal developer platforms, golden paths, reusable infrastructure components, or engineering enablement programs.
Experience with Platform Engineering, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code governance.
Experience with enterprise cloud landing zones and governance frameworks such as AWS Control Tower/Organizations, Azure Landing Zones/Management Groups, and GCP Organization/Folder/Project structures.
Experience with FinOps, cloud cost modeling, and optimization programs.
Experience with cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio.
Experience with policy-as-code tools such as OPA, Kyverno, or Sentinel.
Experience with observability platforms and OpenTelemetry.
Experience defining engineering standards, reference architectures, technical roadmaps, and technology strategies.
Experience leading technical communities, guilds, or Centers of Excellence.
Relevant AWS, Azure, and/or GCP professional-level certifications.
Experience conducting technical interviews and mentoring Senior/Lead engineers.
