Duties and Responsibilities (Job Responsibilities)
- Receive projects from the Sales department/Management and verify Scope of Work, PO, BOQ, Specification, Drawing, Delivery Requirement, Payment Milestone, and key customer conditions.
- Organize internal Project Kick-off meetings to communicate goals, scope of work, delivery schedules, risks, and the responsibilities of the relevant teams.
- Prepare and control the Project Plan, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Schedule, Milestone, Action List, and project resource plans.
- Manage and assign tasks to Project Engineer, Design Engineer, Automation Engineer, Technician, Site Supervisor, Project Admin, and relevant teams as appropriate.
- Monitor project progress against the plan, while continuously managing the Action List, Delay, Issue, and Project Risk.
- Control project time, cost, quality, and resources, including monitoring Budget, Actual Cost, and cost trends until project completion.
- Manage changes to the scope of work (Scope Change / Variation) and assess the impact on Cost, Schedule, Resource, and Commercial Condition before proceeding.
- Coordinate and communicate with customers regarding Technical Clarification, Progress Update, Drawing Approval, FAT/SAT, Installation, Commissioning, and project problem-solving.
- Control the status of Engineering Documents such as Drawing, BOM, ITP, FAT Procedure, Test Record, Manual, and As-built Drawing to ensure readiness according to the work plan and customer requirements.
- Verify project readiness before Production, FAT, Delivery, Installation, Commissioning, and SAT by coordinating with the responsible persons in each department.
- Manage project risks such as Material Delay, Supplier Issue, unclear Specification, unapproved Drawing, insufficient Manpower, and site unreadiness.
- Oversee the overall Site Service, Installation, Commissioning, and SAT to ensure compliance with plans, quality, safety, and customer site requirements.
- Manage the project team, provide guidance, follow up on work, solve problems, assess Workload, and inform management when manpower risks or Skill Gaps are identified.
- Control project delivery and customer acceptance, such as FAT Acceptance, Delivery Acceptance, SAT Acceptance, Punch List Closing, and Project Handover.
- Monitor work readiness and documentation according to Payment Milestones and coordinate with Sales/Accounting to support billing and collection according to project conditions.
- Maintain records and evidence when additional work, delays, or events occur that may lead to a Variation Order, Additional Cost, or Extension of Time.
- Summarize project results after completion, such as Actual Cost, Delay Cause, Quality Issue, Customer Feedback, Lesson Learned, and improvement guidelines for future projects.
- Use Odoo, Excel, Tracking Sheet, or Project Management Tools according to the systems defined by the company.
- Perform duties in accordance with quality, safety, and ethical standards, especially for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Hazardous Area, and Site work.
- Report significant issues to management immediately when there is an impact on Schedule, Cost, Quality, Safety, Scope, or Customer Satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in Project Engineering or Project Management.
- At least 2 years of experience in team management or responsibility for projects at the Project Lead / Project Manager level.
- Experience in Industrial Automation, Control Panel, PLC/SCADA/HMI, Electrical, or Instrumentation.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Data Center, Power Plant, or Hazardous Area industries will be given special consideration.
- Understanding of the project management process from Kick-off, Engineering, Procurement, Production, FAT, Delivery, Installation, Commissioning, SAT, to Project Closing.
- Ability to prepare and manage Project Plan, WBS, Schedule, Milestone, and Action List.
- Ability to control project Scope, Schedule, Cost, Quality, and Resource.
- Knowledge of Project Cost Control and the ability to track Budget, Actual Cost, and project cost trends.
- Understanding of Risk Management, Change Control, Variation, and commercial impacts.
- Ability to read and understand Scope of Work, Specification, BOQ, BOM, Drawing, and engineering documents.
- Technical knowledge in Electrical, Control Panel, PLC, SCADA, HMI, and Industrial Automation at a level capable of managing and inspecting work.
- Team management skills, including delegating, following up, and driving the team to deliver work according to goals.
- Analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills under time, cost, and resource constraints.
- Good communication and coordination skills with customers, Suppliers, Subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects or multiple activities simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to communicate in English for Technical Documents, E-mail, and meetings with Suppliers or Customers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project Tracking Tools, or Project Management Software.
- Leadership qualities, high responsibility, systematic working style, and courage to report problems when project risks are found.
- Ability to travel to provinces or customer sites as required by the project.
