Payroll Accountant – Israel and Europe | Verifone Israel

Location: Rosh HaAyin Scope of position: Full-time + overtime as needed Reporting to: Direct manager abroad, working in a global team

About the Role Verifone, a global company in the payments field, is recruiting a leading Payroll Accountant who will be responsible for the payroll of Israel employees and provide payroll services to additional countries in Europe, working closely with a team and a direct manager from abroad.

Responsibilities

• Full payroll execution for Israel employees, working with the Synerion system and with Hilan, full payroll cycle, from employee onboarding to payroll preparation every month.
• Approval and control of working hours and pay for contractors in Israel and abroad.
• Providing payroll services to countries in Europe, working with ADP partners in each respective country.
• Ongoing support for pension administration and management of employee benefits (Israel and abroad).
• Ongoing work with managers, commission auditors, and HR managers.
• Responsibility for meeting payroll closing deadlines, including working on Fridays as needed and coordination with teams abroad according to the payroll schedule.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience as a Payroll Accountant in Israel – Mandatory
• Previous experience as a Payroll Accountant in an additional country outside of Israel – Mandatory (any experience outside of Israel is relevant; preference for payroll in Turkey and Nordic and Baltic countries).
• Experience working with payroll systems (advantage for familiarity with Synerion/Hilan).
• Very high level of English – Mandatory (daily work with an English-speaking manager and team).
• Ability to work independently with entities abroad, including coordinating time zone differences.
• Availability to work on Fridays according to payroll closing needs.
