This business has offices in Farnborough and Europe and is looking for a Financial Controller to take ownership of its finance function and play a key role in shaping financial strategy and operational success. The Opportunity

As Financial Controller, you'll lead and develop a small finance team, ensuring high standards of financial control, reporting, and compliance while supporting the wider business with strategic financial guidance. You'll work closely with stakeholders across multiple locations, helping to drive performance, improve processes, and support long-term growth.

The Financial Controller will

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the small finance team, creating a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor key financial and operational performance metrics, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Deliver accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and planning to support informed business decisions.
  • Contribute to the company's financial strategy, helping ensure financial stability and sustainable growth.
  • Strengthen financial controls, manage risk, and support regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business, providing commercial insight and financial expertise.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including financial institutions and investors.

About You

You'll be a confident and proactive finance leader with strong technical accounting knowledge and a passion for developing teams and improving processes. You'll bring:

  • ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualification.
  • Strong accounting and financial reporting expertise.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience using various financial systems and software.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline would be ideal.
