Technical Procurement Manager (m/f/d)

As a Technical Buyer (m/f/d), you will take on a key role in the procurement of technically demanding components and assemblies. With your technical understanding, your negotiation skills, and your sense for future-proof supplier relationships, you will work together with internal specialist departments to ensure an economical, timely, and qualitatively high-quality supply for our projects and production.

Your Tasks

• Functional and disciplinary leadership of the procurement team
• Development and implementation of procurement strategies to ensure optimal material supply
• Responsibility for defined technical product groups and the strategic further development of the associated procurement processes
• Requesting, technical and commercial evaluation, as well as comparison of offers and conducting price, condition, and contract negotiations
• Selection, qualification, and further development of national and international suppliers as well as building sustainable supplier relationships
• Ensuring quality, cost, punctuality, and security of supply through active supplier and risk management
• Conducting cost analyses, identifying savings potential, and establishing Second Sources to reduce procurement risks
• Close cooperation with development, quality, production, logistics, and project management in coordinating technical requirements as well as in development, change, and industrialization projects

Your Profile

• Completed technical or commercial training or a degree with a technical focus
• Several years of professional experience in technical procurement, ideally in electrical engineering, plant engineering, or the renewable energy sector; initial experience in the functional or disciplinary leadership of employees is desirable
• Strong technical understanding of drawings, specifications, and bills of materials
• Confidence in requesting and evaluating offers, price negotiations, and the selection of qualified suppliers
• Experience in supplier management as well as in the establishment and development of alternative sources of supply (Second Sources)
• Analytical mindset and good cost understanding to identify savings and optimization potential
• Very good English skills, confident handling of ERP systems and MS Excel, as well as an independent, strong-negotiating, and team-oriented way of working
