Team Leader (Maintenance) – Oxford – £43,500

Venn Group's specialist Estates & Facilities recruitment team is recruiting for a Team Leader (Maintenance) to join a prestigious organisation in Oxford. This permanent opportunity offers the chance to lead maintenance operations across a diverse and historic estate, ensuring the effective delivery of planned and reactive maintenance, statutory compliance, and high-quality facilities services.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Leading and supervising a multi-skilled maintenance team across a large and varied estate
• Coordinating reactive maintenance requests and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities through the CAFM system
• Managing contractor performance and ensuring compliance with statutory maintenance requirements
• Supporting health & safety initiatives, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safe systems of work
• Providing technical expertise across building services, including mechanical, electrical, building fabric, and BMS systems
• Assisting with resource planning, workload allocation, and out-of-hours operational support
• Deputising for the Maintenance Operations Manager when required

About You

• Experience within estates, facilities management, building services, or maintenance environments
• Previous experience supervising maintenance or facilities teams
• Strong understanding of statutory compliance and planned maintenance programmes
• Broad technical knowledge of mechanical services, electrical systems, building fabric, and BMS systems
• Experience managing contractors and maintenance activities on operational sites
• Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and organisational skills
• Good IT skills including CAFM systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Significant practical experience gained within a comparable estates, maintenance, or facilities management environment

• Salary: £43,500 +On-Call Additions
