PMO / Business Analyst

Location: fully remote Contract: 2–3 months initially Rate: Negotiable depending on experience IR35: To be determined Start Date: ASAP

Venn Group are currently working with a local authority who are looking for an experienced PMO / Business Analyst to provide additional support to a corporate contracts review programme.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the project data and provide wider PMO support, working closely with Procurement, Finance, Heads of Service, Legal and other key stakeholders to support the delivery of the programme.

Key responsibilities:

• Own and manage the project data set, including data collection, validation, cleansing, analysis and investigation of anomalies
• Ensure project data is accurate, robust and suitable for decision-making
• Coordinate with Procurement, Finance and Heads of Service to secure timely completion of data returns and maintain progress against agreed milestones
• Produce regular management information, including dashboards, progress reports and performance updates
• Support reporting for contract meetings, senior leadership and committee requirements
• Coordinate stakeholders and project dependencies, working with Legal, service areas and external advisors to resolve information gaps
• Act as the main point of ownership for project data, driving data quality and accountability
• Provide wider PMO support, including action tracking, risk and issue management, governance administration and stakeholder communications
• Proactively identify discrepancies and investigate and resolve data quality issues throughout the programme

Key experience required:

• Strong PMO and/or Business Analysis experience
• Experience working with and managing project data, including validation, cleansing and analysis
• Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills
• Experience producing management information, dashboards and progress reports
• A proactive and analytical approach, with the ability to identify anomalies and investigate issues independently
• Local government or wider public sector experience would be advantageous
