Stock Condition Surveyors / Asbestos Surveyor – Housing – £275 to £350 per day – INDSOH

Venn Group are recruiting for 3 Surveyors to support housing stock condition surveys and asbestos re-inspection programmes. These Surveyor roles are paying £275 to £350 per day and will involve carrying out internal and external property inspections, recording asset data and supporting planned investment, compliance and future maintenance planning.

The client would consider either 3 Surveyors covering both stock condition and asbestos re-inspections, or splitting the requirement into 2 Stock Condition Surveyors and 1 Asbestos Surveyor .

This opportunity is ideal for experienced Stock Condition Surveyors , Building Surveyors , Asset Surveyors or an Asbestos Surveyor with housing, residential property or compliance survey experience.

The role

As a Stock Condition Surveyor , you will carry out internal and external property inspections across housing stock, assessing key building elements including roofs, windows, kitchens, bathrooms, heating systems and external works.

As an Asbestos Surveyor , you will support asbestos re-inspection activity, ensuring asbestos related information is reviewed, recorded and managed accurately.

The successful Surveyors will record survey data on asset management systems and support future investment planning, compliance programmes and lifecycle cost forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out housing stock condition surveys
  • Complete internal and external property inspections
  • Assess roofs, windows, kitchens, bathrooms, heating systems and external works
  • Identify defects, disrepair and component lifecycle requirements
  • Record accurate data on asset management systems
  • Estimate future maintenance and replacement costs
  • Support planned investment and asset management programmes
  • Support compliance programmes including WHQS, HHSRS, damp and mould, energy efficiency and retrofit planning
  • Carry out asbestos re-inspections where suitably qualified
  • Provide clear reports and accurate survey information

About you

  • Experience as a Stock Condition Surveyor , Building Surveyor, Asset Surveyor or Asbestos Surveyor
  • Experience undertaking housing stock surveys
  • Knowledge of building pathology and residential construction
  • Understanding of property compliance including asbestos, fire safety, water hygiene and HHSRS
  • Degree, HNC or HND in Building Surveying, Construction, Property Management or a related discipline desirable
  • Asbestos qualification such as P402 desirable for asbestos re-inspection work
  • Strong attention to detail and confident recording data accurately
  • Housing, social housing or residential property experience desirable
