Build Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Build Engineer to support a major technical Maximo upgrade and migration programme within the Aerospace & Defence sector .

The project involves the technical upgrade and migration of an existing Maximo 7.6 environment running on Oracle to Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9.x running on DB2 , hosted in Azure Cloud .

The role will focus on deployment execution, OpenShift platform operations, secure deployment practices, release coordination and troubleshooting deployment issues throughout the migration and upgrade programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute application and environment deployments across the required environments.
• Support OpenShift platform operations and deployment activities.
• Implement and maintain secure deployment processes.
• Coordinate deployments and releases across technical teams.
• Support release management activities and deployment scheduling.
• Troubleshoot and resolve deployment failures and environment issues.
• Work with development, infrastructure and platform teams to resolve deployment problems.
• Support technical remediation activities associated with the Maximo upgrade and migration.
• Follow security, compliance and operational standards throughout deployment activities.
• Support the migration from the existing Maximo 7.6 environment to MAS 9.x.

Required Skills

• Strong experience as a Build Engineer / Deployment Engineer .
• Hands-on experience with environment deployment execution .
• Strong OpenShift platform operations experience.
• Experience implementing secure deployment processes .
• Experience with release management and deployment coordination .
• Strong troubleshooting skills for deployment and environment failures.
• Experience working across enterprise application delivery environments.
• Experience supporting cloud-based deployment environments , preferably Azure.
• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD and deployment automation practices.
• Experience in complex upgrade, migration or transformation programmes is desirable.
