Mechanical Maintenance Technician

At Vattenfall, you will work on mechanical components of our power plant in Diemen, and other heat installations around Amsterdam and Almere. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that everything continues to run safely and reliably. You will work on maintenance, resolve malfunctions, and think along about how things can be improved. In this way, you make an impact every day for technology and for the future. What will you do?

You perform maintenance on components such as gas turbines, steam turbines, boilers, and pipes. Sometimes you do this independently, sometimes with direct colleagues, and sometimes together with external partners. You ensure that everything proceeds according to plan and that the workplace is safe. Afterwards, you neatly record your findings and provide practical advice on how to approach things more intelligently. Your tasks include: Performing maintenance on mechanical installations; Collaborating with fellow technicians and external parties; Ensuring that work is carried out safely together; Recording findings and converting them into practical advice; Thinking along about improvements and sharing knowledge within the team. You work in a team where collaboration is central. You have contact with colleagues from various disciplines and actively contribute to improving our installations. The base for this position is Diemen; it is possible that you will also be deployed on projects at other locations as a point of contact around Amsterdam and Almere.

Who are you?

You have an MBO 3 or 4 in mechanical engineering and experience in a technical environment. You know what it is like to work on complex installations and you feel responsible for safety and quality. You speak English and have a driving license B. You already have VCA-VOL, or you are willing to obtain it. Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following: You communicate clearly and record your work well You have a positive attitude and bring energy to the team You work independently and also enjoy collaborating Safety is always your number one priority You are eager to learn and open to new ideas You get energy from technology and from working together on smart solutions.
