System Engineer IT Networks/System Integration Marine (m/f/d) (Engineer - Systems Engineering)

For our long-standing client from the maritime industry based in Kiel, we are looking for a System Engineer IT Networks/System Integration Marine (m/f/d).

The hourly wage starts at €33.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.

The position is advertised as a long-term perspective within the framework of temporary employment and in full-time, 35 hours.

Your Tasks

• You develop concepts for complex IT systems and network architectures on naval ships and naval vessels.
• You accompany hardware and software developments throughout the entire project duration.
• You derive technical requirements and create specifications, testing concepts, and testing regulations.
• You check technical specifications from system suppliers and evaluate their feasibility.
• You support project management with technical questions and decision-making processes.
• You accompany certifications and documentation for classification societies.
• You control and coordinate external system suppliers during order processing.
• You plan, coordinate, and carry out commissioning as well as system acceptance on board.
• You ensure the technical integration of various systems and components.

Your Profile

• A successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Mathematics, or a comparable technical-scientific field.
• Professional experience in the field of IT infrastructure, complex network architectures, virtualization, IT security, and Quality of Service (QoS).
• Experience in the development or design of complex technical systems according to established development standards such as IEEE 1220, V-Modell XT, or comparable methods.
• Good knowledge of modern network topologies and IT infrastructures.
• Experience in the field of storage, server, and cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of virtualization solutions, for example, VMware.
• Expertise in the field of IT security, for example, firewalls, Cross Domain solutions (CDM), packet diodes, or comparable security architectures.
• Knowledge in the configuration and administration of network components.
• Ideally, experience with MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering) as well as Software Defined Networking (SDN).
• Good written and spoken English skills.
