Operational Buyer (m/f/d) (Buyer)

For our long-standing client from the maritime industry based in Kiel, we are looking for an Operational Buyer (m/f/d).

The hourly wage starts at €24.00 per hour, depending on qualification.

The position is advertised as a long-term perspective within the framework of temporary employment and in full-time, 35 hours.

Your Tasks

• You support and optimize existing procurement and purchasing processes together with the Logistics, Production, and Engineering departments.
• You take over missing part management within your responsible product groups and ensure rapid clarification of bottlenecks.
• You maintain and monitor delivery dates in the relevant systems.
• You prepare for and follow up on supplier negotiations and support their execution in accordance with the applicable approval guidelines.
• You document negotiation results as well as savings potential and maintain relevant purchasing data, such as prices and cost savings.
• You create statistics, evaluations, and analyses, for example, regarding procurement quantities, turnover, or supplier developments.
• You check invoices for factual and mathematical accuracy and clarify price discrepancies as well as invoice blocks.
• You analyze deviations, support effective receivables management, and process simple claims in daily business.

Your Profile

• A completed commercial vocational training, for example as Industriekaufmann/-frau, Speditionskaufmann/-frau, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in purchasing, procurement, or a comparable function.
• Good knowledge of SAP as well as in handling MS-Office applications.
• Strong commercial understanding and a structured way of working.
• Analytical thinking skills and the ability to recognize connections quickly.
• Strong communication skills as well as enjoyment in collaborating with different contact persons.
• Initiative, independence, and a solution-oriented way of working.
• Good English skills in speaking and writing.
