Forklift Driver
Morning Shift Salary: From £29,800 per annum, depending on experience Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week Shift: Hours worked between 6:30am and 4:30pm Overtime: Saturday mornings, 5:00am–11:00am, approximately once per month Location: Thame Vanta Staffing are currently recruiting for an experienced Forklift Driver to join a busy transport and warehouse operation. This is a hands-on role based across the transport yard and warehouse, supporting daily distribution and pallet operations. You will be responsible for safely moving pallets, loading and unloading vehicles, and ensuring goods are correctly scanned, labelled and allocated for delivery. The successful candidate will be reliable, flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced transport or warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
Moving pallets and goods between the warehouse, yard and vehicles.
Ensuring pallets are correctly scanned and labelled.
Allocating pallets to the correct vehicles for delivery.
Identifying and escalating any discrepancies or issues.
Supporting the wider transport and warehouse team with day-to-day operations.
Following all company health and safety procedures.
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Communicating effectively with colleagues, customers, depots and other stakeholders.
Using relevant warehouse/transport systems and Microsoft Office packages.
Supporting the Transport Manager and Shift Supervisors as required.
Working flexibly across the operation and assisting with other duties when required.
About You We are looking for someone who is: Experienced in a warehouse, transport, logistics or distribution environment .
Ideally in possession of a valid Counterbalance Forklift licence .
Experienced in loading and unloading vehicles.
Comfortable handling pallets and working in a busy warehouse/yard environment.
Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
A good communicator who works well with colleagues and customers.
A team player with a positive and flexible approach.
Enthusiastic and willing to learn new systems and processes.
Comfortable using basic computer systems and technology.
Previous experience within a transport or pallet network environment would be advantageous but is not essential . What's on Offer? Salary from £29,800 per annum , depending on experience.
