On-Site Waste Management Coordinator
Role Purpose
Responsible for the day-to-day ground execution, monitoring and coordination of MAEH's on-site waste management activities at VSMC, working under the direction of the Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine waste-status and site checks.
- Monitor liquid waste, solid-waste MGBs, OTCs and assigned waste-storage/collection areas.
- Support daily liquid chemical waste collection and coordinate with the MAEH Driver and Attendant.
- Verify correct waste stream, IBC and collection setup before/during transfer.
- Operate or support chemical transfer equipment and N₂ purge activities where this forms part of the agreed scope.
- Conduct relevant pre-operation and post-operation checks.
- Manage controlled solid-waste disposal windows and bin-centre activities.
- Check incoming solid waste for appropriate segregation, identification and disposal.
- Monitor MGB capacity and support solid-waste collection.
- Identify questionable, unknown, incorrectly segregated or abnormal waste and escalate to the Supervisor.
- Monitor and support general-waste and WWTP sludge OTC exchanges.
- Coordinate ground activities involving collection vehicles and external service providers.
- Maintain relevant operational records and provide waste-status information to the Supervisor.
- Support other on-site waste-management activities as required.
