2nd Engineer Offshore Installation Vessels - Project-Based (No Fixed Primary Location) - Rotation - Marine crew

THE POSITION

As 2nd Engineer, you are responsible for the condition and maintenance of the technical installations on board our Offshore Installation Vessels, such as the Nexus, Calypso, and the Aeolus. You work in a 12-hour rotation and report to the Chief Engineer to maintain and optimize the technical systems on board.

YOUR IMPACT

When working as a 2nd Engineer, you bear responsibility for preparing, planning, and executing specific maintenance projects. This includes:

• Maintaining, optimizing, and improving the engine room and technical systems in close cooperation with the Chief Engineer.
• Performing regular maintenance and repairs on technical installations for optimal operation.
• Instructing, organizing, guiding, and motivating assigned crew members.
• Contributing to a positive working atmosphere and the development of the crew.
• Maintaining ship administration according to Van Oord standards.
• Preparing, planning, and executing specific maintenance projects as Day Engineer.
