Senior Assistant Accountant / Amsterdam
Are you an experienced assistant accountant who wants to work on mentoring junior colleagues and maintaining client contact with national and international SME clients? Look no further!
What will you do? As a senior assistant accountant at Vallei Accountants, no two days are the same and you have a lot of contact with your colleagues and clients. That is why you will enjoy going to work every day. You will primarily be involved in compiling (complex) annual accounts, preparing tax returns, and auditing administrations. Additionally, you will support our (signing) accountants with analyses, reports, and other advisory activities, consult with our tax specialists regarding complex returns, and mentor (junior) colleagues. The team in Amsterdam is developing, so you will also assist in the buildup and growth of the team. Finally, you will act as a point of contact and sparring partner for clients, providing both requested and unsolicited advice. In this challenging role, numerical work, accuracy, collaboration, development, problem-solving, and client contact all come together.
Your team Your location will be our office in Amsterdam, which has been part of Vallei since 2020, following the acquisition of AccountAbilities and Stighter & Partners. This step has given us a solid foundation in the Amsterdam and Noord-Holland market. Currently, the team consists of 10 experienced professionals in the compilation team, supplemented by 4 payroll administrators and a number of tax specialists. Together, we work on the further growth of our client portfolio, consisting of national and international SME companies.

What do we expect from you? Minimum 3 years of experience in accountancy
Completed HBO accountancy or currently pursuing your AA
Proficiency in the English language
Knowledge of accounting software (Caseware is a plus)
Belief in collaboration and attention to your team members
Love for the profession and driven to learn
Using an analysis and compilation of the annual accounts to improve the client
What we offer Gross monthly salary between € 3,200 and € 4,400 (on a full-time basis)
Contract for 24 to 40 hours per week
