Operations Manager (Student Management & Discipline)
The Services required shall beas follows: Student Management &Discipline • Support theStudent Management Team (SMT) and teachers in handling student disciplinecases, including managing student discipline during recess and schoolactivities, as well as supervising students serving detention and carrying outcorrective work. • • Maintain accurate records of disciplinecases and follow-up actions taken. • • Assist in the implementation of theschool's discipline framework and policies. • • Assist the SMT in fact-finding andinvestigations relating to reported student management matters. • • Coordinate with parents or guardians ondiscipline matters, including providing updates on investigations and follow-upactions taken. Safety & Security • • Conduct regularwalkabouts within the school premises and around the school's perimeter. • • Monitor schoolentry and exit points to ensure only authorised personnel and students are onschool premises. • • Manage crowdflow during peak periods such as arrival, dismissal, and high-traffic schoolactivities to ensure safety and order. • • Respond toemergencies or incidents on school grounds and escalate to the appropriatepersonnel. • • Ensurecompliance with school safety rules and regulations. Administrative Support • • Maintain andupdate student management records and databases. • • Monitor andtrack student attendance, flagging persistent absenteeism to the SMT or FormTeachers for follow-up. • • Prepare reportson discipline trends or recurring issues for the SMT. • • Coordinate withexternal agencies (e.g. police, social services) when necessary. Student Welfare • • Identifystudents who may require additional support and refer them to the appropriatepersonnel (e.g. school counsellor, Form Teachers). • • Build positiverelationships with students to encourage good behaviour. Support School Operations& Events • • Support the SMTin conducting briefings or orientations for students on school rules,expectations, and behavioural standards. • • Carry out anyother duties assigned by the school management related to student managementand school operations. The Personnel should have thefollowing skills and experience: • • Preferably 5years of working experience in managing children, teenagers or youth fromdiverse backgrounds • • Priorexperience in managing or supervising teenagers in terms of disciplinaryproceedings, case management or behaviour support is strongly valued • • Preferably aformer personnel from national uniform services • • Has stronginterpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage students,parents, and school personnel effectively, including the ability to de-escalateconflicts and manage volatile situations calmly and professionally. • • Familiar withrestorative practices, case management processes, and student supportframeworks. • • Able to workindependently, exercise sound judgement, and respond decisively in dynamic orhigh-pressure situations. • • Proficient inreport writing and documentation, with the ability to maintain accurate recordsand prepare clear reports for the Student Management Team. • • Able to use MSOffice. • • Holds a validFirst Aid certificate, or is willing to obtain one prior to commencement ofduties.
