Guidance Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervisestudents under detention, in-house suspension and reintegration programmes.
  • Conduct studentpatrols during arrival, recess and dismissal, and promote positive behaviourthrough restorative practices.
  • Assist with minorincident investigations, interviews, evidence gathering and report preparation.
  • Engage, mentorand provide social-emotional support to identified students.
  • Develop andconduct targeted SEL activities and provide in-class student support whererequired.
  • Maintain studentdiscipline records, case notes, statistics and intervention updates.
  • Liaise withteachers and school staff to support student development and learningcontinuity.
  • Assist withreviewing student management processes and perform other duties assigned by theschool.
  • Maintain strictconfidentiality of all student information.

Requirement:

  • Preferably three (3) years of directexperience working with children / youths at-risk. This includes supportingstudents with behavioural, emotional, or learning needs through targetedinterventions, mentoring, or developmental programmes

The Personnel should preferably have thefollowing qualifications:

  • A degree in a relevant field from arecognised institution (e.g., National University of Singapore, NanyangTechnological University), preferably in Social Work, or Counselling,Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Child or Adolescent Development or equivalentetc.

The Personnel mustberegistered with MOE as of ITQ closing date.
