Cyber Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing across applications, infrastructure and cloud environments.
• Perform security testing, vulnerability validation and remediation verification.
• Support Secure by Design reviews, threat modelling and security architecture assessments.
• Develop scripts and automation tools to improve security testing efficiency.
• Research emerging cybersecurity threats and attack techniques.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate security findings.
• Participate in cybersecurity exercises and improvement initiatives.
• Support daily cybersecurity operations and projects.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or related disciplines.
• Experience in software development using Python, Java, C/C++, JavaScript or similar languages.
• Good knowledge of Linux, Windows and networking fundamentals.
• Understanding of web technologies, REST APIs and secure software development.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and container technologies.
• Hands-on experience in scripting and security automation.
• Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, authentication, access control and common vulnerabilities.
• Experience with Burp Suite, Kali Linux, Nmap, Wireshark, Docker, Git or equivalent tools.
• Experience in software engineering, backend development or security automation.
• Exposure to cloud security, DevSecOps or infrastructure engineering.
• OSCP or other recognised offensive security certifications will be an advantage.
