  • Cooperation with the embassies of the Nordic and other countries within its field of operation.

  • Organize and conduct visits by official delegations and government officials.
  • Act as an advisor to the Head of Mission within their professional area and also contribute to other tasks at the embassy due to the situation in the country.
  • Travel activities must be expected.
  • The Head of Mission may assign other work tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must have passed an examination from the Police University College or have a master's degree in law.
  • Must have at least ten years of varied practice from the police force.
  • Must have extensive experience in investigation/intelligence of serious organized and/or cross-border crime.
  • Must have experience in the use of covert methods.
  • Must have some experience from police intelligence work/methods, OSINT knowledge, reporting, and experience with analytical work.
  • Must have knowledge of the security situation in Ukraine and be security-conscious.
  • Must have experience from international police service and/or international police cooperation.
  • Must have good written and oral presentation skills in English and Norwegian.
  • Knowledge of migration flows in Eastern Europe is an advantage.

Terms/conditions The position is remunerated as a senior advisor (position code 1364) with a gross annual salary from NOK 759,500 - 1,176,700 - cf. the Main Agreement in the state. Additional pay as an embassy counselor according to the "Special agreement on supplements, benefits, and allowances in the foreign service" - https://www.regjeringen.no/no/dokumenter/saravtale/id545430/ . Housing will be provided. Foreign service training will be provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Professional training will be provided by Kripos. Applicants must be permanent employees of the releasing professional authority.

Applicants must be Norwegian citizens.
