DIRECTOR

Based on Article 41 of the Act on Institutions („Narodne novine“ number 76/93, 29/97, 47/99, 35/08, 127/19 and 151/22) and Article 33 of the Statute of the Institution for Comprehensive Care of Members of the 1. gardijska brigada „Tigrovi“ and the Special Purpose Unit of the MUP of the Republic of Croatia Rakitje, the Governing Board of the Institution announces a PUBLIC COMPETITION for the selection and appointment of the Director of the Institution for Comprehensive Care of Members of the 1. gardijska brigada „Tigrovi“ and the Special Purpose Unit of the MUP of the Republic of Croatia Rakitje. A person may be appointed as Director if they meet the following conditions:

• who has completed a graduate university study or an integrated graduate university study or a specialist graduate professional study and a person who has acquired high professional qualifications in accordance with the regulations that were in force before the entry into force of the Act on Scientific Activity and Higher Education
• who has at least three years of work experience in management positions
• who has professional, work, and organizational abilities
• who knows one foreign language
• against whom no criminal proceedings are being conducted (which is proven by a certificate from a competent court or the e-Građani system, which must not be older than 15 days from the submission of the application to the competition).

Persons of both sexes may apply to the advertisement. Candidates should attach:

• an application for the competition
• a CV
• proof of Croatian citizenship (domovnica, identity card, or passport)
• proof of professional qualifications (diploma or other authentic proof)
• proof of work experience, not older than 30 days from the submission of the application to the competition (Electronic Record - e-radna knjižica or a Certificate of data recorded in the registry of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute, which record/certificate, among other data, must also contain data on the employer, the start and end of insurance, actual and required professional qualifications, working hours, place of work - residence, and the duration of insurance seniority)
• proof of work experience in relevant positions for three years (employment contract or decision on assignment or employer's certificate, which contains the type of work and the time period in which the candidate performed the stated work, and which work experience is recorded in the Electronic Record/Certificate of data recorded in the registry of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute, as requested in the previous bullet point
• a certificate from a competent court or the e-Građani system that no criminal proceedings are being conducted against the candidate (not older than 15 days from the submission of the application to the competition).

If a candidate attaches documents to the application in which personal data are not identical, they are obliged to provide proof of their change (marriage or birth certificate). A candidate who invokes the right to priority in employment in accordance with Article 102 of the Act on Croatian Defenders from the Homeland War and their family members („Narodne novine“ number 121/17, 98/19, 84/21 and 156/23), Article 48 of the Act on Civil Victims of the Homeland War („Narodne novine“ number 84/21 and 13/26) and Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities („Narodne novine“ number 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20), is obliged to submit all necessary documentation and evidence according to the special law in the application to the competition, and achieves priority over other candidates only under equal conditions. A candidate who invokes the right to priority in employment in accordance with Article 102 of the Act on Croatian Defenders from the Homeland War and their family members („Narodne novine“ number 121/17, 98/19, 84/21 and 156/23) must also attach the evidence prescribed by Article 103, paragraph 1 of the Act on Croatian Defenders from the Homeland War and their family members („Narodne novine“ number 121/17, 98/19, 84/21 and 156/23) with the application to the competition. A candidate who invokes the right to priority in employment in accordance with Article 48 of the Act on Civil Victims of the Homeland War („Narodne novine“ number 84/21 and 13/26) must also attach the evidence prescribed by Article 49, paragraph 1 of the Act on Civil Victims of the Homeland War („Narodne novine“ number 84/21 and 13/26) with the application to the competition. A candidate who, in accordance with Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities („Narodne novine“ number 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20), invokes the right to priority in employment, is obliged to attach, along with the application to the advertisement, in addition to proof of meeting the requested conditions, also proof of the established status of a person with a disability. Documents are submitted as uncertified copies, and the selected candidate is obliged, upon the finality of the decision on appointment, to submit original proofs of meeting the requirements. The Director's mandate lasts four years, and the same person may be reappointed as Director based on a public competition. The deadline for submitting applications is 15 days from the day of publication of the competition in „Narodne novine“. Untimely, incomplete applications and applications that do not meet the formal requirements of the competition will not be considered. Applicants will be notified of the results of the competition within 45 days from the day of the expiration of the deadline for submitting applications. Expressions used in this competition, which have a gender meaning, are used neutrally and refer equally to both male and female gender.
