Senior Functional Analyst

USG Professionals is looking for a Functional Analyst for our client in the Leuven region. This can be both as a USG Project consultant or on a Freelance basis!

Your Mission

As a Senior Functional Analyst, you play a key role in shaping and improving business-critical information systems. You are involved from the concept phase through to implementation and support in production.

Your responsibilities:

• Leading functional analysis activities and translating business needs into functional designs
• Defining concepts, requirements, and solution specifications
• Supporting changes and improvements from development to production
• Evaluating service requests, feasibility, lead times, and required resources
• Recommending and implementing system improvements
• Collaborating closely with business stakeholders, developers, architects, and project teams
• Maintaining an end-to-end vision across processes and systems
• Supporting system upgrades and resolving functional issues

This role is ideal for a senior analyst who enjoys working on challenging IT projects, translating complex business issues into efficient solutions, and making an active contribution to continuous improvement.

What are we looking for?

• At least 5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst
• Experience within complex IT environments
• Good knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Proactive attitude with a sense of initiative and ownership
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management
• Ability to view processes and systems end-to-end
• Experience with requirements management and project deliveries

• Open Systems environments
