DevOps Integration Engineer – MuleSoft

USG Professionals is looking for a DevOps Integration Engineer – MuleSoft for our client in the Brussels region. This can be as a USG Project consultant or on a Freelance basis!

Are you an experienced Integration Engineer with strong MuleSoft knowledge and a passion for building scalable and reliable integration solutions?

For an international technology environment, we are looking for a DevOps Integration Engineer. You will work on mission-critical integration services, APIs, and frameworks. 🌍

Your role

You are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions using MuleSoft, Java, and modern DevOps principles.

Your responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining Mule 4 integration services
• Building framework components and services with Java and Mule Runtime
• Developing event-driven integrations and APIs
• Applying TDD and automated testing
• Integrating internal and external systems via REST, SOAP, HTTP, JMS, SFTP, and queueing
• Contributing to CI/CD and software delivery processes
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuously improving integration services
• Translating business requirements into robust technical solutions
• Collaborating with technical and business stakeholders in an international environment

Your technical toolkit

We are looking for someone with:

• 5+ years of experience in integration projects
• Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft / Mule 4
• Excellent knowledge of Mule connectors, Mule Runtime Engine, and transaction management
• Experience with event-based integration and API development
• Good knowledge of XML, RAML, and WSDL
• Strong Java knowledge
• Experience with Maven, Nexus, Git, Bamboo, and Bitbucket
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as the ELK Stack
• Experience with Anypoint Platform, specifically API Manager and Runtime Manager
• A good understanding of integration architecture patterns
• Experience with TDD and automated testing
• Experience in an Agile environment
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Informatics, Engineering, or a similar field
• Nice to have: experience with Spring and Mule Runtime Fabric.
