Site Manager
The Site Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and managing daily site operations for demolition, hacking, dismantling, debris removal, and site clearance works. The role ensures all works are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with approved method statements, contract requirements, and applicable Singapore regulations.
Job Descriptions
- Plan, supervise, and monitor daily demolition, hacking, dismantling, and site clearance activities to meet project schedules and targets.
- Manage site supervisors, workers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient manpower deployment, productivity, and work quality.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve site and technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, risk assessments, safe work procedures, and site safety requirements.
- Oversee the safe removal of existing structures, concrete, partitions, flooring, ceilings, and other designated materials while protecting retained structures and existing services.
- Monitor work progress, identify delays, and implement corrective actions to achieve project milestones.
- Ensure proper handling, transportation, and disposal of demolition debris and waste in accordance with project and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project costs, manpower, equipment, materials, work quantities, progress claims, and variation orders (VO).
- Maintain daily site reports, safety records, progress updates, inspection reports, and other project documentation.
- Coordinate final cleaning, site clearance, removal of temporary facilities and equipment, demobilization, rectification, and handover upon completion of works.
- Resolve day-to-day site issues, maintain good coordination among site personnel, and report critical matters to management.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant demolition, hacking, or construction site management experience.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations and safety procedures.
- Experience in manpower management, subcontractor coordination, and site demobilization.
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude, strong team spirit, and ability to work under pressure with commitment to meeting deadlines.
