Senior / Manager Java Full Stack Engineer (SME) – Java, Spring Boot, Azure

We are looking for an experienced Java Full Stack Engineer at a Senior / Manager level, who will join the dedicated SWAT Team, responsible for identifying, analyzing, and solving complex business and technical problems within a large transformation program.

We are looking for a technical expert (Subject Matter Expert – SME) who combines very good knowledge of Java and frontend technologies with the ability to independently lead topics, collaborate with multiple teams, and improve software development processes.

Daily tasks

• Collaboration with the SWAT Team in identifying, analyzing, and solving critical technical and business problems.
• Proactive detection of risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for system improvement.
• Collaboration with development teams, architects, and stakeholders to remove blockers and accelerate task completion.
• Acting as a technical expert in the Java Full Stack area and supporting teams with knowledge and experience.
• Participation in architectural discussions, system integrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Supporting good programming practices, DevOps processes, and the reliability and performance of solutions.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using Java technologies and modern frontend frameworks.
• Developing and integrating services based on REST API and SOAP.
• Utilizing AI-based tools and approaches throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Independently leading corrective and improvement actions in a complex corporate environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of commercial experience in creating web applications using Java and frontend technologies.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT enterprise environment in a similar position.
• Very good knowledge of Java, including practical experience with Java 25.
• Experience working with Spring Boot.
• Practical knowledge of frontend technologies: Angular and/or React.js – knowledge of both will be an additional asset.
• Experience in designing and integrating REST API and SOAP services with external providers.
• Knowledge of databases, SQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience working with GitHub, source code management, and CI/CD processes and deployment automation.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure, specifically Azure DevOps, Cosmos DB, and Application Insights.
• Practical use of AI tools and AI-based approaches in the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Ability to independently diagnose and solve complex technical problems.
• Experience in collaborating with multiple teams and managing technical dependencies.
• Very good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive approach, independence, and a focus on continuous improvement.
• Very good command of English, both spoken and written.
• Higher technical education or equivalent qualifications in IT, engineering, or science.

Nice to have

• Experience working with the Guidewire platform.
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Practical experience with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of the Jutro Digital Platform (JDP).
• Certifications confirming competencies in Java, Spring, SQL, AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
