Team / Role Description

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a large-scale IT infrastructure and cloud environment migration project carried out on-site in Paris. Your task will be to take responsibility for the discovery phase, planning, and cutover of legacy systems and applications, as well as coordinating local IT stakeholders and driving project execution from start to finish.

In this role, you will be at the center of a multi-sided project team, responsible for integrating the local IT team of the acquired organization with the client's broader technological ecosystem.

Daily tasks

• Leading the discovery phase on-site in Paris, aimed at gaining a detailed understanding of the existing infrastructure, applications, and their dependencies. Close collaboration with the local IT team of the acquired organization, the client's IT department, and the SoftServe delivery team to obtain accurate and actionable analysis results.
• Responsibility for planning and executing on-site cutover processes related to the migration that cannot be performed remotely. Making decisions and coordinating actions in a way that minimizes disruptions and increases the effectiveness of the entire migration process at the Paris location.
• Building working relationships and trust with the local IT team of the acquired organization, which serves as the primary source of knowledge regarding the existing environment. Collaborating with this team and stakeholders on the client side to accelerate problem-solving and ensure the successful progress of the discovery and cutover phases.
• Coordinating activities between the client's IT team, the acquired organization's team, and the SoftServe delivery team, including aligning schedules, priorities, and dependencies to keep discovery and migration execution on track.
• Monitoring and communicating progress, risks, and dependencies during the discovery and cutover phases. Providing stakeholders with clear and timely information to enable informed decision-making on-site.
• Representing the project approach and execution method directly to client stakeholders on-site, including explaining methodologies used, clarifying expectations, and ensuring consistency between the discovery phase, cutover execution, and the client's business goals.

Requirements

Residing in France or regular, significant on-site presence in Paris, necessary to fulfill a work model that is not fully remote. Documented experience in complex project management related to IT infrastructure and migration, covering the entire process — from the analysis and discovery phase to the cutover of systems to the new environment. Very good ability to serve as the primary on-site representative for technical matters and day-to-day project coordination. Advanced stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and ensure collaboration between teams from different areas. Very good communication and collaboration skills, allowing for the building of trust in relationships with technical and business stakeholders on the client side. Practical experience working in regulated environments or in the life sciences sector (welcome). Knowledge of French and English
